From Couch To 10K

Have you ever been looking for something and found out that the saying is true:
“There’s an app for that?”
Well in my case this one surprised me and I’m not sure why I didn’t think of it before.
My motivational group got me into running. The funny thing is we decided that in order to seal the deal we should run a 5k. I was on board with it right away. I knew I could do it in about an hour or so. However, when we started to do the research we found a run at the perfect time but it was 5k extra for a total of a 10k. So that’s why I’m now doing my first run and it’s going to be a full 10k.
Just the thought of it makes me nervous. It’s not a marathon, but for me, this is a big deal. I hope everything goes well and I don’t fall, but in the meantime, I’m keeping it steady in the gym until then. I started it out just walking for an hour each time until I found this amazing app by Zen Labs “10k Pro.”
It has helped me increase my running endurance already and I can’t believe how hard it is. The recommendation is at least three times a week and many comments that it’s good to repeat some of the workouts until you master them so as to avoid injury. I agree. I’m already up to week five of workouts and I’ve repeated a lot in the last couple of weeks. If you’re thinking about running a 5k or 10k I recommend that you get the app. Oh, did I forget to mention that it’s FREE?
